Xiaomi‘s sub-brand Redmi is gearing up to unveil the Redmi K100 Pro Max in China on August 11, launching it alongside the Redmi K100 Pro. Ahead of the official event, official teasers have detailed the handset’s core hardware. The new flagship brings notable upgrades over last year’s K90 Pro Max, positioning itself as a performance beast built for mobile gamers and power users. The company recently announced the Redmi 17 and Redmi Note 17 series as well.
A giant 9,070mAh power cell with versatile fast charging
The headline feature of the Redmi K100 Pro Max is its massive 9,070mAh battery. That is a significant step up from the 7,560mAh unit in its predecessor. Redmi executives claim on Weibo a roughly 40% better battery life upgrade.
To keep top-up times reasonable, Redmi pairs the cell with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone also functions as a portable power bank, supporting 27W wired reverse charging and 22.5W wireless reverse charging for secondary devices (via 91mobiles).
Ultra-smooth 185Hz RGB OLED display and 200MP camera system
Up front, the device houses a flat 6.9-inch RGB OLED display. The panel reaches an ultra-fast 185Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Redmi claims the screen uses a full RGB lossless pixel layout and M11 luminescent material. This makes it 20% more power-efficient while delivering crisp clarity that uses less power than standard 1.5K panels.
On the back, the camera array features three lenses:
- Main Camera: 200MP ultra-clear sensor
- Telephoto: 5x periscope telephoto lens
- Ultrawide: 50MP sensor

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 performance and Bose audio
Product Manager Xinxin Mia confirmed on Weibo that Qualcomm’s flagship 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor fuels the phone. Redmi is pairing the primary chip with a dedicated D2 graphics processor to boost frame rates in demanding games.
The phone features a flat metal frame, a Bose-tuned speaker system, and new color options including Gold White and Cabernet Red. Lastly, complete pricing and configuration details will arrive during the official August 11 launch event.
