NAVI MUMBAI: In a road-rage incident in Nerul, following an argument between the drivers of an Ola cab and a Swift automotive, the Swift driver allegedly assaulted the cab driver on the top with a bamboo stick, inflicting extreme accidents.The incident occurred on the evening of August 15 after the Swift driver claimed that the Ola cab driver had dangerously lower him off whereas overtaking on an inner street in Nerul.The Swift driver drove with the cab driver on the bonnet for about 2 kms, regardless of the cab driver shouting for assist whereas dangling dangerously and requesting to cease the automotive as he might fall from the rushing automotive and might be killed.Because the automotive slowed down, the cab driver jumped off the bonnet after which the automotive driver sped away leaving the cab driver injured on the street.The incident occured on the stretch of Sarsole village street in sector 20 close to Nerul pond on Aug 15 round 9.35 pm.Ajay Kamble, senior inspector of Nerul stated, “The injured cab driver recognized as Pradeepkumar Pandey (27), a resident of Naigaon registered an FIR at Nerul police station in opposition to the unidentified accused automotive driver, who’s absconding. Accordingly, we have now invoked related BNS sections in opposition to the accused for the offences of voluntarily inflicting harm/ grievous harm utilizing harmful weapons or means, voluntarily inflicting easy harm, rash or negligent driving or driving on a public means in a way that endangers human life or is prone to trigger harm or damage to any particular person and inflicting easy harm to any particular person via a rash or negligent act that endangers human life or private security.“
