A 54-year-old Manipuri musician died after a gaggle of supply staff and dhaba employees allegedly assaulted him when he objected to their shouting and consuming alcohol outdoors his Kilokari village condominium within the early hours of Monday, officers stated.
Police arrested seven males and apprehended one juvenile within the case.
The Daylight Colony police station acquired a PCR name relating to the beating of C Vikram Singh, a Manipur native who has been residing in Kilokari village for a number of years. A preliminary enquiry revealed that Singh, who belonged to the Meitei group, objected to males making a nuisance outdoors his home. The North East College students Society, Delhi College (NESSDU) condoled Singh’s loss of life and described him as a “revered Manipuri musician”.
“In response to studies, Singh went downstairs from his residence in Kilokri, New Delhi, after a gaggle of six males had been allegedly consuming and making a disturbance outdoors his condominium. When he requested them to decrease the noise, he was reportedly attacked by the group and sustained extreme accidents, to which he later succumbed,” the scholars’ physique stated.
NESSDU described it as a “mindless act of violence” and urged authorities to make sure a “swift, honest, and thorough investigation” and maintain these accountable accountable.
Sharing particulars of the accused, police stated they arrested Bharat Kumar (19), Pramod (26), Ramzan Khan (22), Deepanshu (21), Mohan Vishwakarma (32), Vijay (36), Mannu (26), and one juvenile.
Police stated all of the accused are staff at completely different dhabas and meals stalls.
Police stated the investigation is underway.
