Mafia: The Old Country Expands with Man of Honor, Dragging Enzo Back into Salieri’s Dirty Work this August 14

Today, 2K revealed the first details and footage of Mafia: The Old Country‘s story expansion, Man of Honor, which is coming out soon (on August 14). The expansion takes place in Winter 1905, just a few months after the initiation of protagonist Enzo Favara into the Torrisi crime family, and it brings players back to his story while adding new content for Free Ride mode.

According to the developers, the expansion introduces new story chapters set during Enzo’s early days as a soldato. Those chapters are being kept under wraps, but players who own the DLC can access them through the main campaign once they have progressed far enough, or jump into them directly after meeting the required story conditions.

A major part of the expansion is the return of Ennio Salieri, who appears here before becoming the Don of his own crime family in the original Mafia game. In Man of Honor, Salieri operates out of a warehouse in Porto Almaro and gives Enzo new work through both challenge-based content and job contracts.

The new Salieri’s Challenges are split into five types: Standoffs, Assassinations, Circuit Races, Road Sprints, and Time Trials. The development team says these are built on the existing Free Ride challenge structure, but tuned for greater difficulty.

The Jobs are separate contracts offered by Salieri in Free Ride mode. These include infiltrating a citrus farm, eliminating rival whiskey runners, stealing a delivery truck, handling shootouts, and escaping with valuable cars while fighting off thieves. More generally, the jobs are described as dirty work that involves opening safes, stealing high-value cars, and transporting stolen goods before rival smugglers intercept them.

The Mafia: The Old Country expansion also adds optional activities and collectibles around Valle Dorata. These include Wanted Posters, Stunt Jumps, and Sulphur Trucks, which players can destroy as part of the new content.

Furthermore, Man of Honor adds new items that can be purchased with in-game Dinari or found through exploration. The list includes three guns (Modello Speciale, High-Capacity Pump-Action Shotgun, and Precisione Speciale) plus three knives, five charms, three vehicles, two horses, three outfits, and five hats.

The High-Capacity Pump-Action Shotgun holds ten shells, the Precisione Speciale can fire volatile explosive rounds, the Rimbalzu is a throwing knife that can bounce to a second target, and the Dolce Morte charm can cause defeated enemies to occasionally drop reward fruit that restores health and grants extra Dinari.

Man of Honor will be priced at $10, by the way.
