New Delhi, August 3(APAC Media): Jio has launched the JioTag 2 in India with support for both Android and iPhone users. The new Bluetooth tracker is priced at Rs 1,249 and works with Google’s Find Hub network as well as Apple’s Find My network, making it compatible with a wider range of devices than its predecessor.
The JioTag 2 is available in Black, Red and Green colour options and is currently on sale through Amazon India. Buyers can also get an instant bank discount of up to Rs 50, reducing the effective price to Rs 1,199. The tracker is designed for locating everyday items such as keys, wallets, luggage and laptop bags.
The biggest update is support for both Android and iOS tracking ecosystems. Android users can locate the device through Google Find Hub, while iPhone, iPad and Mac users can access it using Apple’s Find My network. Once paired, the tracker uses Bluetooth and nearby compatible devices to update its location without requiring a SIM card or subscription.
JioTag 2 includes a 120dB built-in buzzer that can be activated from the tracking app to help locate nearby items. It also supports Lost Mode, allowing users to receive location updates when another compatible device detects the tracker. The device runs on a replaceable CR2032 battery with a claimed battery life of up to 12 months, and Jio includes an extra battery in the retail box. The tracker also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for daily use.
