Grand Theft Auto VI | Grand Theft Auto VI extended first look to debut on Netflix ahead of November launch

Netflix
and Rockstar Games have announced a first-of-its-kind partnership that will
give Netflix subscribers an exclusive extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI later this month.

The extended preview will stream
on Netflix on August 27, ahead of the game’s release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox
Series X|S on November 19.

The collaboration comes 13 years
after the launch of Grand Theft
Auto V
, coinciding with the
period when Netflix was expanding into original programming.

According to the companies, the
partnership reflects a broader push toward bringing major entertainment experiences
to the streaming platform.

“Grand Theft Auto reveals have
become cultural moments in their own right. The anticipation and fandom around
Grand Theft Auto VI is unprecedented, and we’re honored that Rockstar Games has
partnered with us to debut the next part of the Grand Theft Auto story with
Netflix members first,” says Brandon Riegg, VP of Nonfiction Series. “It’s a
reflection of what we hope Netflix is becoming: a place where the most
ambitious storytelling, from any medium, can find the biggest possible
audience.”

Titled Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, the presentation will offer Netflix subscribers
a deeper look at one of the most anticipated video game releases in history.

The game’s official description
reads: “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But
when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the
sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching
across the state of Leonida – forced to rely on each other more than ever if
they want to make it out alive.”
