Jain was arrested by the ACB on August 18 in reference to alleged irregularities within the tendering course of for sewage remedy plant tasks of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
He was booked for offences underneath the Prevention of Corruption Act (PC Act) and the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The case, registered in Could 2024 following a criticism by the Directorate of Vigilance, issues alleged manipulation of tender circumstances, prison conspiracy and suspected bribe funds linked to contracts for upgrading DJB sewage remedy crops.
On August 19, the Court docket had refused to declare Jain’s arrest as unlawful.
