Tamil Nadu Tourism Minister S. Rajesh Kumar on Sunday (August 30, 2026) warned that he and his Congress colleague Viswanathan (Larger Training Minister) will stop the C. Joseph Vijay-led Cabinet if the TVK continued to push the narrative projecting Mr. Vijay as a Prime Minister candidate for the 2029 parliamentary elections.
“If Mr. Rahul Gandhi [Congress leader] shouldn’t be accepted (by the TVK) because the Prime Minister candidate of the 2029 Parliamentary election, each the Congress Ministers within the Tamil Nadu Authorities will instantly resign their posts and pull out from the Cupboard,” Mr Rajesh Kumar mentioned whereas addressing in a celebration assembly held at Marthandam on Sunday (August 30) evening.

Mr. Kumar mentioned the Congress was gaining recognition among the many folks from all walks of life after Mr. Gandhi was relentlessly combating in opposition to the Narendra Modi-led BJP Authorities and its “anarchic anti-people and anti-youth insurance policies”.
