JAMMU, Aug 28: The Division of Personnel and Coaching (DoPT), Authorities of India at present issued notification for induction of 14 serving JKAS officers and 9 retired officers into IAS.
The official notification for induction of JKAS officers into IAS was uploaded on X by Union Minister of State within the Prime Minister’s Workplace (PMO), Incharge DoPT Dr Jitendra Singh.
Fourteen officers cleared for induction into IAS are Babila Rakwal, Shabnam Kamili, Rachna Sharma, Leena Padha, Rajinder Singh Tara, Tariq Hussain Ganai, Munir Ul Islam, Sajjad Hussain Ganai, Anoo Malhotra, Nitu Gupta, Prediman Krishen Bhat, Bhawani Rakwal, Smita Sethi and Anuradha Gupta.

The officers from Babila Rakwal to Nitu Gupta, totaling 10, have been named within the Choose Listing of 2019 whereas 4 others figured within the Choose Listing of 2020.
The retired JKAS officers, who figured within the Choose Listing of 2019 embody Anil Koul, Dr Ghulam Nabi Itoo. Kusum Badyal, Vivek Sharma, Mohammad Harun Malik, Nisar Ahmad Wani and Jatinder Singh.
Two retired officers have been named within the Choose Listing of 2020. They’re Nisar Ahmad Wani and Tariq Ahmad Zargar.
Shamim Ahmed, a JKAS officer who died in 2021 additionally figured at Serial No. 21 within the choose record of 2019.
“The president is happy to nominate members of State Civil Companies of UT of J&Ok Phase to the IAS in opposition to the vacancies decided by Authorities of India in session with the State Authorities for the Choose Lists of 2019 and 2020 on probation till additional orders and to allocate them to the AGMUT cadre,” the notification acknowledged.

The officers inducted into IAS will get the AGMUT cadre. With Jammu and Kashmir now a part of AGMUT cadre, the officers of All India Companies are posted within the States/UTs that are a part of the it together with Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Andaman & Nicobar, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli/Daman & Diu, and Lakshadweep.
That is after almost 4 years that the JKAS officers have been inducted into IAS because the final induction happened on August 4, 2022 when 16 JKAS officers made it to the IAS. Since then, the inductions did not happen regardless of identification of vacancies due to authorized wrangles.
A complete of 28 JKAS officers had been cleared for induction on July 8, 2022 however 11 of them had been later dropped as eight had retired from the companies, two refused induction and one had died whereas destiny of one other was saved in sealed cowl.
Induction of JKAS officers into IAS was not carried out for almost 12 years due to seniority disputes, authorized hurdles and so on from 2010 to 2022.
