
Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 17 with Snapdragon processor

Xiaomi on Thursday (August 6, 2026) launched Redmi Note 17 smartphone in India for the mid segment buyers.
Redmi Note 17 has a 6.9 TrueColour AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. The phone is being protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and IP65 rated for dust and water resistance.
Redmi Note 17 ships with an 8,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, supported by a 45W charger inside the box. It also supports 22.5W reverse wired charging.
Redmi Note 17 runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 with up to 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. There’s a virtual RAM option till 16 GB RAM and expandable storage up to 2 TB. It operates on Android 16 with HyperOS 3 out of the box, and will offer 4 years of software and 6 years of security patches.
Redmi Note 17 sports a 50 MP rear camera and an 8 MP selfie camera.
Redmi Note 17 comes in Arctic Blue, Starlight Purple, and Dark Night colours, starting at ₹27,999 for the 6 GB/128 GB variant and ₹30,999 for 8 GB/128 GB unit.
