A 22-year-old girl from Shivamogga district allegedly died by suicide by leaping into Agara Lake right here, following alleged harassment and blackmail by a youth, police stated on Sunday.
The deceased has been recognized as Vanishree, a local of Arodi close to Belalamakki in Sagar taluk.
She was staying at a paying visitor lodging in HSR Structure’s Sector-1 and was working within the gross sales division of a jewelry retailer within the space, police stated.
