Japan:
A person left his seven-year-old son behind for hours on Japan’s Mount Fuji whereas persevering with the climb, leading to a stern warning from authorities, police and native media reported.
The boy was discovered alone on a climbing route on Thursday and brought into police custody, a neighborhood police officer within the Shizuoka area informed AFP on Saturday.
The kid informed his father he was drained on the sixth station of the mountain, which is situated at an altitude of greater than 2,000 metres (6,500 toes), native SBS TV reported.
As his older brother had gone on forward, the seven-year-old’s father informed him to “wait right here” and carried on climbing along with his different son, in accordance with SBS.
TV Asahi mentioned that the boy was informed to attend for eight hours with solely snacks and a tender drink and no cash, citing employees at a mountain hut who alerted police to his presence.
Officers contacted the daddy who was on the eighth station and handed the boy over to him when he returned.
The police officer informed AFP that officers gave the person a telling-off for leaving the kid behind.
The daddy reportedly apologised to the police, admitting the act was careless.
