vivo India has officially revealed key details of the upcoming vivo S2 ahead of its India launch on 6th August. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K curved OLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo SoC, 50 MP Sony camera with 4k video recording, and a 7,050 mAh battery. The smartphone will also introduce several AI-powered productivity features through OriginOS 6.
Slim Design | Curved OLED Screen
The vivo S2 measures just 7.99 mm thick and features a metallic design with a curved rear panel and a redesigned camera module. On the front, it sports a 6.83-inch (17.34 cm) 3D Curved OLED display with:
- 1.5K resolution
- 120 Hz refresh rate
- Edge-to-edge curved design
The smartphone will be available in three colour options:
- Silk White
- Sapphire Blue
- Regal Bronze
50 MP Sony Camera | 4K Video Recording
For photography, the vivo S2 is equipped with:
- 50 MP Sony IMX852 primary camera
- 32 MP front camera
The company has confirmed 4K video recording support on both the front and rear cameras.
Additional camera features include:
- Aura Light Portrait
- Dual View Video
These are designed for portrait photography, vlogging, and low-light content creation.
Dimensity 7360-Turbo | 7,050 mAh Battery | OriginOS 6
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo SoC, which vivo says achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score of around 970,000. The chipset is paired with a 7,050 mAh battery, designed for extended usage across gaming, streaming, navigation and video recording.
The vivo S2 will run OriginOS 6 out of the box and include several AI-powered features, including:
- Shake and Share
- Circle to Search 2.0
- vivo Office Kit
- AI Creation
- AI Transcript Assist
These features aim to improve file sharing, productivity, and AI-assisted content creation.
In an earlier teaser, vivo said the S2 is built around two core principles.
- Premium Design: The company believes smartphone design has become a form of personal expression rather than simply visual appeal. The vivo S2 is designed to deliver a premium look and feel that users can enjoy throughout everyday use.
- Imaging For Creativity: vivo also says smartphone cameras have evolved beyond capturing memories and are now central to content creation and online communication. With the S2, the company aims to provide an imaging experience focused on creativity, storytelling and self-expression.
