The Indian spice, an integral part of Indian curries has been named among the world’s stinkiest foods

When it comes to the world’s stinkiest foods, it is often unimaginable to compile the list. But, Taste Atlas has done it now. The platform recently shared an Instagram post that listed The World’s Stinkiest Foods, categorised under-extreme level, very high level, medium-high level, and moderately strong level. The caption of the post read, “Nobody invented these foods to shock people on the internet.” They exist because humans had to preserve whatever they caught or harvested, or starve. Before cold storage, you fermented, salted, or buried your food to survive. French winemakers washed cheese rinds until bacteria took over. Arctic hunters packed seabirds into seal skins (kiviak) to make it through winter, while fishermen in Iceland and South Korea let shark and skate age until the ammonia could knock you back (hákarl, hongeo-hoe). The smell is intense, but behind it is plain survival and centuries of local habit.” Interestingly, the list also includes one of the most famous Indian spices that is often used in tadka or tempering. Scroll down to find the details.
