NEW DELHI: Former West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday alleged that her automobile was pelted with stones after protesters intercepted her convoy whereas she was visiting the household of deceased Trinamool Congress employee Birju Keot in North 24 Parganas.In line with Mamata, protesters raised “thief” slogans and threw water bottles and footwear.“Massive stones had been hurled at my automobile by anti-social parts, proper in entrance of the police. The assault on the car was so extreme that if the home windows had been open, my head would have been cut up open. We might have all been killed.”She claimed that the incident occurred in entrance of the police and accused them of offering safety to the BJP.“This occurred proper in entrance of the police. I’ve by no means seen something like this. What’s going on? The police are offering safety to the BJP,” she mentioned.
