The Courtroom was listening to a petition alleging {that a} case filed below Upkeep and Welfare of Mother and father and Senior Residents Act, 2007 was pending earlier than the Sub-Divisional Officer, Sadar, District Kanpur Nagar, for a protracted interval with none orders.
In response, the Sub-Divisional Justice of the Peace (SDM) stated that listening to of the case couldn’t be held between July 1 and July 21 as he was busy with administrative work. The Courtroom was not impressed with the reason.

The Courtroom directed the SDM to determine the case expeditiously by listening to the matter 3 days every week. The officer has been directed to apprise the Courtroom concerning the standing of proceedings on September 15.
