Chandigarh Police on Sunday recovered a suspected Improvised Explosive Gadget (IED) and apprehended three people in the case.
The fabric was discovered hid in a tiffin field, alongside a firearm, in an space behind the Inter-State Bus Terminus in Sector 43, based on sources.
Throughout the operation, the police took the three suspects, allegedly from Punjab, into custody and filed an FIR, sources added.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the motive, community, and supply of the recovered explosive materials and firearm.
In response to a Chandigarh Police assertion issued on Sunday evening, “Chandigarh Police apprehended three individuals in reference to a case involving a suspected IED and firearm. An FIR has been registered at Police Station, Sector 36.
“A suspected IED and different materials have been recovered from the apprehended individuals,” the assertion mentioned.
The police reassured the general public, stating there isn’t any trigger for panic.
