Samsung is certainly taking its time with One UI 9 testing for the Galaxy S26 series, as the stable update is still nowhere to be seen. While the latest Galaxy devices already come with One UI 9 out of the box, the South Korean tech giant has yet to begin rolling out the update to its older models.
As usual, the stable One UI 9 rollout is expected to begin with the latest Galaxy S series, which is the Galaxy S26 series in this case. Honestly, we expected it to be available by now. However, it seems Samsung still planned to test and polish the update further before pushing the stable build.
According to the Beta Operations Manager’s post on the Samsung Community forum, One UI 9 Beta 5 for the Galaxy S26 is scheduled to arrive next week. This means the fifth beta could be released sometime between August 10 and August 14.
The last One UI 9 beta update was released around three weeks ago, and Beta 5 was initially expected to arrive earlier. So if you’ve been waiting for the next beta update, it is finally expected to arrive next week. However, there is still no official information regarding the stable One UI 9 rollout.
One thing worth noting is that the announcement was shared on the Samsung Community forum in South Korea. This could mean that One UI 9 Beta 5 will first roll out in South Korea before expanding to other eligible regions.
As for the stable One UI 9 release, we hope Samsung will release it for the Galaxy S26 series by the end of this month. Once the roll out begins, we can expect the update to gradually expand to other eligible Galaxy devices.
