A Naga villager was shot useless whereas working in a paddy subject at the moment

A person was shot useless in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district in an escalation of violence days after the state authorities introduced the opening of the Nationwide Freeway that connects Manipur with Nagaland and Assam for all communities.
Three others have been injured within the assault this morning at Langka Naga village within the Kuki-dominant district 45 km from the state capital Imphal.
The situation of the three is important, officers mentioned, including the casualties might rise.
Wiriliangbou Chawang, 34, died on the spot whereas the three others recognized as Kawidinang Abonmai, 55; Maliangjininang Abonmai, 52, and Namthiulungbou Primai, 50.
Locals mentioned they have been working of their paddy fields when the assault occurred at 8 am. The identification of the attackers are unknown.
The injured individuals could also be shifted to a much bigger hospital in Imphal if their situation would not enhance, sources mentioned. The assault has raised recent considerations over the safety scenario within the Langka Naga space. It has seen many armed clashes in current occasions.
