Having been absent for the past several weeks, MJF made his AEW return last night, attacking Andrade El Idolo and making his intentions clear for All In later this month.
With this week’s AEW Dynamite being a Grand Slam Mexico special from the legendary Arena Mexico, Andrade won a triple-threat match against Tommaso Ciampa and Komander to earn the number one spot in All In’s Casino Gauntlet. Of course, the winner of that Casino Gauntlet will get themselves a shot at the AEW World Championship.
As El Idolo celebrated his win by addressing the Mexico City crowd, he was attacked by the returning MJF, with Max having his Triple B version of the AEW World Title with him, which he hit Andrade with before taking back the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
From there, the Salt of the Earth took the mic and lambasted Andrade El Idolo and Mexico, and announced that he’ll be a part of an upcoming qualifier match to earn the number two spot in the All In Casino Gauntlet, so that he can win that match and take back his World Title.
Somewhat confusingly, MJF said that the Triple B is the only championship that matters, which begs the question of why he’s so bothered about reclaiming the AEW World Championship currently held by Kenny Omega, but whatever…
Just as @AndradeElIdolo was reveling in his win, @The_MJF returned to attack the AEW National Champion and take back the Dynamite Diamond Ring!
