A considerable portion of the hillside alongside a brand new street slicing of the Naga-Tosa Street within the Naga Forest space, reverse the Theng Tunnel, collapsed close to the confluence of the Teesta and Chyakoong rivers in Chungthang subdivision, they stated.
The landslide partially blocked the stream of each rivers, they added.
No casualties or accidents have been reported thus far, whereas the extent of harm to property, if any, is being assessed, officers stated.
The river ranges at Sankalang and Phidang outposts are at present regular, although the water stays muddy, they stated.
