The costs of each cow and buffalo milk in Maharashtra are set to go up by Rs 2 per litre from Tuesday after representatives of main cooperative and personal dairies authorized a hike.
The choice was taken at a gathering of the Milk Producers and Processors Welfare Affiliation. Affiliation president Gopalrao Mhaske chaired the assembly.
In accordance with the affiliation, diesel costs have elevated by Rs 10 per litre whereas packaging bills have elevated by round 30 per cent. The procurement value of milk has risen and additional improve is predicted.
Contemplating these rising prices, the affiliation has determined to extend the promoting value of milk by Rs 2 per litre and the costs of dairy merchandise by as much as 10 per cent. The revised costs are scheduled to come back into impact from August 11, it stated.
