Union Well being Minister J. P. Nadda, on Friday (August 21, 2026), reviewed the prevailing scenario and preparedness for H1N1 Influenza within the nation with specific concentrate on the National Capital.

The Union Well being Minister reviewed the nationwide surveillance and epidemiological scenario, ILI and SARI tendencies, testing and laboratory surveillance, and preparedness of healthcare services to handle seasonal influenza circumstances. 

He emphasised the necessity for continued vigilance, strong surveillance and proactive preparedness, with shut monitoring of influenza tendencies.

Data launched by the Ministry mentioned that the preparedness of healthcare services in Delhi was reviewed, together with the supply of hospital beds, important care services and different essential provides.

The Minister emphasised public consciousness and preventive well being practices, together with respiratory hygiene and hand hygiene, and suggested people with persistent or extreme respiratory signs, respiratory issue or different warning indicators to hunt medical recommendation promptly.

He reiterated that the scenario is being intently and constantly monitored. 

“The Ministry continues to coordinate with States/UTs, hospitals, laboratories and different stakeholders to make sure efficient surveillance, early detection, well timed scientific administration and proactive preparedness for seasonal influenza, together with H1N1,” the Ministry mentioned.
