Interview focused on CV, previous experience, say Ram Temple CEO candidates

Questions throughout the interview for the place of the primary full-time chief govt officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Belief in Ayodhya revolved across the curriculum vitae submitted by the shortlisted candidates, with a deal with their earlier expertise in administration and temple administration, two shortlisted candidates advised The Hindu on situation of anonymity on Wednesday (August 12, 2026). The interview lasted about 30-40 minutes, they stated.

Eighteen candidates have been shortlisted from a pool of over 5,200 candidates for the place of full-time CEO for the Belief amid allegations of donation theft. The interviews passed off over two days, on August 11 and 12, 2026. 

“I oversee the functioning of a temple after retirement. The interview panel requested questions concerning the administration of that temple, footfall on main festivals, new expertise used for the comfort of devotees, and queries associated to my CV. The interview lasted for over half-hour,” a candidate interviewed on August 12, 2026 stated.

One other candidate, who was a Degree 14 (Extra Secretary) officer in authorities service stated he was requested questions based mostly on his CV and former administrative expertise. Among the many first respondents throughout a safety disaster whereas in service, he was requested questions associated to the incident, he stated. “My interview of 35-40 minutes centred on my earlier administrative expertise, which included crowd and disaster administration,” he added. 

The CEO’s major duty, in keeping with the notification, is to supervise the administration and administration of the Ram Temple. Candidates must be practising Hindus, and strictly observe Hindu traditions.
