New Delhi [India], August 12 (ANI): Trying to substitute its ageing fleet of cargo planes, the Defence Ministry in the present day issued a young value round Rs one lakh crore for getting 60 multirole transport plane for the Indian Air Pressure.
The tender has been issued to a number of Indian corporations, together with Hindustan Aeronautics Restricted (HAL), Tata, and Mahindra, Defence Officers instructed ANI, including that “Within the programme, Indian corporations could be within the lead position.”
Mahindra Defence has tied up with Embraer of Brazil to supply its C-390 transport airplane, whereas Tata goes with Lockheed Martin to supply their C-130 airplane, which is already within the Indian Air Pressure for particular operations roles.
The programme would see round 20 per cent of the planes becoming a member of the Indian Air Pressure in fly-away situation, whereas the remainder of them could be manufactured in India with over 60 per cent indigenous content material. The plane will likely be in-built India via joint ventures between Indian corporations and the unique tools producer, HAL.
