The ICC has confirmed India as the brand new host of the inaugural Girls’s Champions Trophy, which was initially scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka. The event will happen from February 14 to twenty-eight, 2027.
Cricbuzz had earlier reported that the event has been moved out of Sri Lanka as a result of authorities interference.
The event will now be held at two venues in India: The Cricket Membership of India, Mumbai (Brabourne Stadium) and the Vadodara Worldwide Cricket Stadium in Vadodara.
In line with an ICC assertion, three venues had been assessed – Bangladesh, South Africa and India – with India being ratified by the ICC board on September 1.
