‘I want every celebrity endorsing pan masala to visit our cancer wards’

The Maharashtra Meals and Drug Administration’s show-cause notices to movie stars Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff over a Vimal Elaichi commercial have introduced surrogate promotion of pan masala again below scrutiny. The regulator alleges that the marketing campaign makes use of the Vimal identify and model identification to not directly promote Vimal Pan Masala, a product prohibited within the state.
