High-end Xiaomi phone confirmed with 200MP camera and large battery

Previously, Xiaomi revealed the design and color options of the Redmi K100 Pro. Now, the company has confirmed additional details about the smartphone. For context, the Redmi K100 Pro will launch alongside the Redmi K100 Pro Max in China on August 11.

Xiaomi has revealed that the Redmi K100 Pro will pack an 8,580mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The device will also support 27W wired reverse charging and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.

The Redmi K100 Pro will feature a triple rear camera setup covering five focal lengths. The setup includes a 200MP primary camera with optical image stabilization and a telephoto camera that supports 10cm macro photography.

The company has already confirmed that the Redmi K100 Pro will feature a 6.59-inch display with a 185Hz refresh rate. Notably, the device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series chipset and will be positioned in the CNY 4,000 (~$592) price segment.

Since the Redmi K90 was rebranded as the Poco F8 Pro (curr. $471.59 on Amazon) for global markets, the Redmi K100 Pro could also launch internationally under Poco branding. However, Xiaomi has yet to confirm any global launch plans. In other news, two new Xiaomi flagship tablets have received certifications in China.
