GTA 6 Trailer Coming to Netflix, YouTube Aug. 27

New footage of “Grand Theft Auto VI” will debut on Netflix and YouTube later this month.

Per a press release from Rockstar Games issued Thursday, “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere on Netflix Thursday, August 27 at 3 p.m. ET and will also launch on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI site at 9 p.m. ET on August 27.”

In its own announcement, Netflix called the “GTA 6” collab “a first-of-its-kind partnership to premiere an extended look at the next evolution in the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto series, Grand Theft Auto VI.”

The Rockstar Games-developed title has been in the making for 13 years. This “extended look” news comes after pre-orders opened for “GTA 6” in June with pricing set at $80 for the standard edition of the game.

Per the synopsis for “GTA 6”: “Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

On June 24, Take Two-Interactive-owned Rockstar Games revealed pricing for “GTA 6” would be $79.99 for the standard edition, which can be purchased as a digital or physical (which includes a code in a box rather than a disc) copy. The “ultimate” version will cost $99.99 and include “an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects” of the game.

Rockstar has stated the launch version of the game consists of “a single-player experience set in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet,” and has not mentioned a multiplayer or online component.
