Counterpoint: European smartphone shipments drop to three year low

The European smartphone market skilled its lowest quantity of shipments for Q2 (April – June) since 2023. A brand new report from Counterpoint Analysis estimates 35 million smartphone shipments for the interval, which is a ten% drop from the values seen final 12 months. In keeping with Counterpoint’s estimates, Apple and Samsung every contributed 34% of whole smartphone shipments within the area. Xiaomi was third with a 15% share, adopted by Oppo (together with OnePlus and Realme) with 4%, and Honor with a 3% slice.

Shipments in Western Europe have been “comparatively higher” due to spectacular progress by Apple and marginal positive factors from Samsung. Japanese Europe fared worse because the finances section took a downturn.
