The Central Authorities on Saturday (September 5) notified appointments of Chief Justices at eight Excessive Courts.
Union Legislation Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal took to X (previously Twitter) to inform the appointments:
“In train of the facility conferred by the Structure of India, in session with the Chief Justice of India, the President is happy to nominate the next Excessive Court docket Judges as Chief Justices of the Excessive Courts…“
The eight appointees are:
1. Delhi Excessive Court docket decide Justice V. Kameswar Rao is appointed as Chief Justice of Patna Excessive Court docket
2. Bombay Excessive Court docket decide Justice Ravindra V Ghuge is appointed as Chief Justice of Calcutta Excessive Court docket
3. Chhattisgarh Excessive Court docket decide Justice Sanjay Kumar Agrawal is appointed as Chief Justice of Rajasthan Excessive COurt
4. Allahabad Excessive Court docket decide Justice Mahesh Chandra Tripathi is appointed as Chief Justice of Bombay Excessive Court docket
5. Punjab & Haryana Excessive Court docket decide Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra is appointed as Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana Excessive Court docket
6. Orissa Excessive Court docket decide Justice Krushna Ram Mohapatra is appointed as Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh Excessive Court docket
7. Gujarat Excessive Court docket decide Justice Alpesh Yeshvant Kogje is appointed as Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh Excessive Court docket
8. Rajasthan Excessive Court docket decide Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati is appointed as Chief Justice of J&Okay And Ladakh Excessive Court docket
The Supreme Court docket collegium had made the suggestions on August 9 and August 31.
