Centre Notifies Appointment Of Judges For High Courts At Madras, Karnataka, Calcutta and Madhya Pradesh

The Central Government on Friday notified appointments for judges at Madras, Calcutta, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh High Courts.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal took to X (formerly Twitter) to notify the appointments which states:

In exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, in consultation with Chief Justice of India, the President is pleased to appoint the following Advocates/ Judicial Officers as Judges / Additional Judges in the High Courts…”

The appointees are as follows:-

For Madras High Court, five advocates have been appointed as judges:

1. Govindrajan Krishnaswamy, Advocate

2. Rajnish Pathiyil, Advocate

3. Ramesh Natarajan, Advocate

4. GK Muthukumar, Advocate

5. Ramkrishna Rajesh Vivekananthan, Advocate

Meanwhile three advocates and seven judicial officers are appointed as additional judges of Madras High Court:

6. Raveekumar Sankarnarayanan, Advocate

7. Dilip Kumar Nagarajan, Advocate

8. Ellapan Manoharan, Advocate

9. Dr. P Murugan, Judicial Officer

10. Smt. MD Sumathi, Judicial Officer

11. Smt. S Alli, Judicial Officer

12. Smt. C Thirumagal,Judicial Officer

13. Shanmugan Karhikeyan, Judicial Officer

14.Murugasen Baluchamy, Judicial Officer

15. N Gunasekaran, Judicial Officer

For Calcutta High Court Centre has notified appointment of eight advocates as judges:

16. Aryak Dutt, Advocate

17. Atarup Banerjee, Advocate

18. Sandip Kumar De, Advocate

19. Partha Pratim Roy, Advocate

20. Sudip Deb, Advocate

21. Anuj Singh, Advocate

22. Arjun Ray Mukherjee, Advocate

23. Rishad Medora, Advocate

The Centre has also notified appointment of six advocates as judges of Karnataka High Court:

24.Raghavendra S Srivatsa, Advocate

25. Smt. Hema Kulkarni, Advocate

26. Subramanya Rangarao, Advocate

27. Vivekananda Thadagavadi Prakash, Advocate

28. Pramod Bakkeswara, Advocate

29. Shanthi Bhushan Hombe Gowda, Advocate

Centre has also notified appointment of one advocate as judge of MP High Court:

30. Amit Lahoti, Advocate
