Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 18 Pro lineup and its first-ever foldable iPhone—expected to be the company’s biggest product launch of the year—at an event next month.
Unlike previous years, Apple is expected to launch only the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max this September, with the standard iPhone 18 and the entry level iPhone 18e reportedly scheduled to debut in March 2027.
The tech giant is also rumoured to unveil its first foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models.
Historically, Apple has announced new iPhones on the second Tuesday or Wednesday of September. According to a Bloomberg report, Apple has informed employees that this year’s launch event will take place in the first half of September, though it has not disclosed a specific date.
The report suggests that September 9 (Wednesday) is the most likely date for the event, as Labour Day in the US falls on September 7 (Monday). The timing would also preserve the workday travel window that Apple has traditionally provided for attendees.
This year’s launch event carries added significance as it will be the first major product unveiling under Apple’s new CEO, John Ternus, who is set to succeed Tim Cook on September 1.
In addition to the new iPhones, Apple is expected to introduce new Apple Watches and other hardware during the event.
