The Cannes Film Festival 2026 culminated a few months ago. And so did the fashion sirens around it. Or so we thought.
Months after the festival, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s unseen look from Cannes 2026 has just been unveiled, and obviously, it is breaking the internet. Shared by fashion designer Tony Ward, the stunning photographs feature the actor in a custom couture creation that, undoubtedly, is among the best looks in her Cannes wardrobe.
India’s Cannes Queen, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, slayed it with her fashion picks at the international film festival this year, but this all-white look just hits different. It was a beauteous pearly affair.

What she wore was a body-hugging gown drenched in intricate pearl embroidery that cascaded across the silhouette like delicate strands of jewellery. It took over 7,000 pearls and more than 600 hours of craftsmanship to make this outfit.
But what truly stole the show was the dramatic white cape. Rather than a conventional shrug or train, the voluminous silk taffeta layer bloomed into oversized ruffles framing her shoulders, almost resembling sculpted flower petals. It gave the otherwise body-skimming gown a theatrical couture finish.
The dazzling pearls and the dramatic cape blended perfectly, making this one of Rai’s most unforgettable looks.
As for the glam quotient, Rai opted for soft, side-swept waves, luminous skin, mauve lips and cascading earrings. A stack of statement rings completed the look, adding just enough sparkle without competing with the pearl-encrusted gown.

It’s safe to say that Rai’s appearances this year will go down in the books.
It all started with a lot of speculation around whether the actor would attend the festival at all. The rumours grew stronger when fans noticed that Aishwarya did not feature in L’Oreal Paris’ Cannes campaign visuals, unlike fellow ambassador Alia Bhatt and others.
Some fans simply made peace with that fact too, but only to be surprised by her first appearance in an electric blue sculptural gown by Amit Aggarwal. The silhouette stayed sleek and structured, hugging her frame before flaring out into a mermaid hem. A flowing organza drape added a hint of drama, while dazzling diamond and sapphire jewellery tied the look together effortlessly.
The next one was special as she appeared with her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, in a blush pink couture gown by Sophie Couture. And for her closing look, she went all experimental in an all-white pantsuit with a feathered boa.
All things said and done, she is the ‘Cannes Queen’ for a reason, and we are here for it!
