Over the past few days, Xiaomi has revealed many specifications and related posters of the Redmi K100 series smartphones. The phones get a special version of the processor, a large battery, a display based on new technology, and exclusive body design features.
Redmi K100 Pro
The latest official information about the K100 Pro is its camera specifications. The company says that the smartphone will receive a triple camera unit, the main one of which will have a 200 MP sensor and optical stabilization. Also on the back will be an ultra-wide-angle camera and a telephoto lens with support for macro shooting at a distance of 10 cm.
Another report talks about the Redmi K100 Pro battery with an ultra-high (26%) silicon content and an energy density of 945 Wh/L. The 8,580 mAh battery will support wired charging up to 100 W and wireless charging up to 50 W. Users will have access to reverse wired charging up to 27 W and up to 22.5 W in the wireless version.
The K100 Pro will get a modified Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V processor (12 MB of Adreno HPM memory instead of 18 MB). The company claims that the phone with it scores 4.09 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark. It will also have a separate graphics processing chip and a cooling system with 3D circulation.
Redmi K100 Pro features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 4,500 nits peak brightness, 90% BT.2020 color gamut, and an exceptional 185Hz refresh rate. It debuts the new M11 OLED LED material and next-generation Super Pixel architecture. It will feature Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage.
The smartphone will be offered in a special Firefly Light Chaser color with a coating that glows in the dark after absorbing external light, and will also be available in silver. In the first version, a special luminescent material is placed between the glass back panel and a layer of green paint, allowing the back panel to act as a “canvas for light painting”. The smartphone will have IP68 protection and a metal frame.
Redmi K100 Pro Max
Xiaomi has unveiled the K100 Pro Max in Cabernet Red. The smartphone will feature a flat 6.9-inch display with ultra-thin bezels based on the same new technology and with the same specifications.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a dedicated D2 image processing chip. With this equipment, the smartphone scores 4.55 million points in AnTuTu V11. The phone will have seven antennas arranged to prevent signal interference when placed horizontally, as well as two Xiaomi Surge T1+ signal enhancement chips.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 200MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, a 9070mAh battery (which has already “lit up” in an official test), 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Both Redmi K100 Pro will debut on August 11. The release of the base Redmi K100 is expected later.
