CMF Clip Pro has made its debut as the first clip-on wireless earbuds from the brand. It features an open-ear design with a clip-on functionality, which should be more comfortable to use than the in-ear TWS. Clip-on earbuds have become quite the trend due to their unique design and comfort, with brands like Sony and Bose also introducing their own versions of them. The CMF Clip Pro has been launched in select markets for now, with wider availability in September.
CMF Clip Pro design, colours
As the name suggests, the CMF Clip Pro has a clip-on functionality where one end sticks to the back of the ear, and the other just sits outside the ear canal. CMF says that the Clip Pro uses a 3-point Clip Design to distribute pressure across the ear for a more comfortable wear. The Clip Pro comes in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Coral.
The earbuds have tactile buttons for controls, and the charging case also comes with a rotating dial to adjust volume, control playback, manage calls, and pair with compatible smartphones.
CMF Clip Pro specifications
Open-ear designs usually struggle with audio quality and noise isolation. CMF aims to fix that with a 10.8 mm dual-magnet dynamic driver in the Clip Pro. There’s an ‘Ultra Bass Technology’ designed to boost low-frequency output, and the Clip Pro supports LDAC, AAC, and SBC codecs for higher-quality audio. The CMF Clip Pro also has a ‘Sound Seal System’ feature that is said to manage mid and high frequencies to minimise audio leaking out.
It’s also equipped with 4 HD microphones and a VPU-powered Clear Voice Technology system that helps separate the user’s voice from ambient noise. The buds have a 60mAh battery each, which delivers up to 10 hours of playback and 6.5 hours of talk time. The charging case has a 475mAh battery, which is said to offer up to 32.5 hours total playback and 25 hours of talk time.
CMF Clip Pro price, availability
The CMF Clip Pro is launching first in the UK, the US, and Japan on August 15 for $99 (Rs 9,500 approx). It will be available in Europe and more global markets on September 15th. CMF has confirmed the Clip Pro will not be launching in India. The CMF Clip Pro will appeal to users who are interested in the clip-on design. Since it’s more affordable than brands like Bose and Sony, the CMF Clip Pro could be a good option for first-timers or anyone looking for budget-friendly clip-on TWS.
