PSG strategy for signing Ferran Torres from Barcelona revealed

Paris Saint-Germain are highly interested in signing Ferran Torres from FC Barcelona and are going to try to get him before his vacation is over. The Spanish World Cup hero is yet to rejoin his club following the celebrations.

PSG reportedly want that “yet” to become a “never.” They have sent Torres an offer they suspect Barcelona might not want to match, and they hope the striker accepts it without ever reporting to Barcelona’s camp.

The Catalan club reportedly want him to put his cards on the table so they can decide whether they want to keep him or sell him – and many within the club are leaning towards selling him.

Barcelona are said to value Torres at €55 million, around the same price they paid Manchester City to sign him. It’s true that he only has one year left in the contract, but strikers are being sold at a premium. The fact he scored the winning goal in the World Cup doesn’t hurt his price, either.

Another thing that puts Barça in a tough spot is that Robert Lewandowski left for Chicago Fire. That means the Catalans are already scouring the market for a striker. If Torres were to leave, that would put them in a desperate situation where they must sign a new starting striker at minimum, if not two good ones, to replace those that left.
