Mahindra Tractors strikes a new chord with Punjab focused campaign – Indian Television Dot Com

MUMBAI: When horsepower meets Bhangra beats, the result is a campaign that rolls as much as it rocks. Mahindra Tractors has turned to one of Punjabi music’s most recognisable anthems to reinforce its bond with one of India’s most influential farming states, blending nostalgia, culture and agriculture into a high-energy brand campaign.

The company, part of the Mahindra Group, has launched ‘Duniya Vich Ikko Lalkaar’, a Punjab-focused campaign anchored by a contemporary recreation of Sukhbir Singh’s iconic 1999 hit ‘Ishq Tera Tadpave’, better known as ‘Oh Ho Ho Ho’. The music video, unveiled at an event in Chandigarh, features Sukhbir alongside Punjabi singer, rapper and actor Parmish Verma.

Shot across Punjab, the film showcases Mahindra’s tractors against the backdrop of the state’s farms and rural landscape, using music to underline the brand’s scale, technology and long-standing association with the region. Rather than a conventional product-led commercial, the campaign leans heavily on Punjab’s cultural identity and entrepreneurial spirit to tell its story.

The launch marks the beginning of a wider ‘Duniya Vich Ikko Lalkaar’ initiative, with Mahindra planning to extend the campaign across multiple consumer touchpoints in the coming months.

Punjab remains one of India’s most advanced agricultural markets, making it a strategically important region for tractor manufacturers. Mahindra said the campaign reflects the trust it has built with farmers over decades while celebrating the confidence and global influence associated with both Punjabi culture and the brand.

The company also highlighted its portfolio of tractors designed for the state’s farming requirements, including the Mahindra NOVO, Mahindra ARJUN and Mahindra YUVO TECH+ series, which are positioned around power, durability and technology for modern agricultural operations.

By pairing a song that has echoed through weddings and celebrations for more than 25 years with one of India’s best-known tractor brands, Mahindra is betting that a familiar beat can do more than entertain, it can strengthen an emotional connection with the farming communities that have long driven its business.
