Shakeel Noorani, a 73-year-old movie director, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 33-year-old actor.
The movie director lured the actor to his home in Mumbai’s Malwani on the pretext of discussing an upcoming movie and allegedly sexually assaulted her.
In keeping with the police criticism, he allegedly drugged the actor and threatened her.
He was produced earlier than the Borivali Vacation Court docket.
He has been despatched to police custody until August 12.
