A 13-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Delhi’s Shahdara after she was scolded by members of the family for returning residence late, police mentioned on Saturday.
The woman was discovered unconscious on the ground of her residence in Krishna Nagar after her sister observed her hanging and introduced her down, police mentioned.
Police obtained a PCR name relating to the incident and reached the spot. The woman was rushed to Dr Hedgewar Hospital, the place medical doctors declared her lifeless, they mentioned.
Throughout preliminary inquiry, police learnt that the woman had returned residence late and was scolded by her members of the family. Later, her sister discovered her hanging and raised an alarm, following which she was introduced down and brought to the hospital.
Authorized proceedings have been initiated in reference to the incident, police mentioned. — PTI
