Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 launch is still weeks away, but buyers don’t have to wait for lower prices. Flipkart’s Freedom Sale has already confirmed substantial discounts on the iPhone 17 lineup, with additional savings available through select bank offers.
Apple’s premium iPhones are getting their first significant price cuts as Flipkart’s Freedom Sale kicks off ahead of the Independence Day shopping season. The retailer has announced discounts on the iPhone 17 series, bringing down the prices of the Pro models while also extending offers to older-generation iPhones.
The sale comes at a time when Apple is widely expected to unveil the iPhone 18 lineup, a period when retailers typically reduce prices on existing models.
iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max get major discounts
Leading the offers is the iPhone 17 Pro. The device, which debuted at Rs 1,34,900, will be available for Rs 1,26,900 during the sale, marking an upfront reduction of Rs 8,000 without any bank offer.
The final price can be lowered further by using eligible SBI Credit Cards or Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Cards. Once instant discounts, cashback and EMI benefits are factored in, the effective price comes down to around Rs 1,21,900, although the exact amount will depend on the payment option selected.
Flipkart is offering a similar Rs 8,000 discount on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The flagship model, launched at Rs 1,49,900, will retail for Rs 1,41,900 before bank discounts. Customers using eligible cards may be able to reduce the price further through additional offers available during the sale.
More from TechThe retailer has also hinted that the standard iPhone 17 will sell for under Rs 80,000, though the final sale price has not yet been disclosed. Buyers interested in previous-generation devices will also find discounts on select iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models.
Amazon is also expected to feature the iPhone 17 lineup during its Great Freedom Sale. However, the platform has not yet published official prices for the latest iPhones. Until those listings go live, any prices circulating online should be treated as unconfirmed.
Older iPhones also see price cuts
The discounts are not limited to Apple’s newest devices. Flipkart has also reduced the prices of several older iPhones, giving buyers more options across different price segments.
The iPhone 16, which carries a retail price of Rs 69,900, will be available from Rs 61,999 during the sale. The iPhone 15 has also received a sizeable reduction, with its price falling from Rs 59,900 to Rs 52,999.
In addition, Flipkart has announced an effective price of Rs 55,900 for the iPhone 15 after eligible offers are applied. The iPhone 16 Plus, meanwhile, can be purchased at an effective price of Rs 75,900, compared with its regular retail price of Rs 79,900.
With discounts extending across both the latest flagship models and older generations, the Freedom Sale gives prospective buyers an opportunity to purchase an iPhone at a lower price. Those considering an upgrade may still want to compare offers on Amazon before making a final decision, as additional deals could be announced once its sale is fully underway.
