Awantipora, Aug 10: A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and two Police Officers (PSOs) sustained minor accidents after a tyre of their bulletproof car burst whereas they have been travelling close to Ziyarat Sharief Syed Hassan Mantaqi (RA) in Awantipora on Monday, officers mentioned.
In accordance with police, the incident occurred when the tyre of the car burst whereas it was on the transfer. Officers mentioned the heavy weight of the bulletproof car could have contributed to the incident.
A senior police official confirmed the incident to Larger Kashmir, saying the tyre burst occurred whereas the bulletproof car was being pushed, leaving the DSP and two PSOs injured.
The official clarified that the accidents sustained by all three personnel are minor and that none of them is in peril.
The injured personnel have been offered medical consideration, officers mentioned.
