Joshi was questioned for almost 9 hours by the Delhi Police Particular Cell on September 2 in reference to a case registered towards him over his social media exercise.
Joshi is a retired 1992-batch Indian Posts and Telecommunications Accounts and Finance Service officer who retired as an Further Secretary-rank official in March 2026.
He was allegedly picked up whereas on a morning stroll and brought to the Counter Intelligence unit’s workplace in New Pals Colony. Police stated he was questioned in reference to an FIR registered two days earlier and was launched after his assertion was recorded.
