Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra Sworn In As Chief Justice Of Punjab & Haryana High Court Amid Punjab Govt’s Objection

Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra was sworn in as Chief Justice of Punjab & Haryana Excessive Courtroom in the present day.

Pertinently, the Punjab Authorities cupboard on Sunday handed a resolution towards the Central authorities choice for the appointment of Justice Mishra because the CJ, alleging that the choice was taken “with out its consent.”

The oath ceremony was not attended by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, whereas Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini was current on the occasion.

The State Authorities had demanded that Justice Mishra should not be administered oath until its views are taken. The President had notified Justice Mishra’s appointment because the CJ yesterday pursuant to the SC Collegium’s advice.

Justice Mishra enrolled as an Advocate on Might 08, 1993, and was designated as a Senior Advocate in 2013. He took oath as Further Choose on Feb 03, 2014, and as a everlasting Choose on Feb 01, 2016, at Allahabad.
