WTA Toronto Best Bets Including Kostyuk vs Keys

The WTA Toronto tournament begins the third round on Thursday. Situated before Cincinnati and the U.S. Open, Toronto carries obvious value for women’s tennis pros. If they post a good result in Canada, the pressure decreases in Cincinnati, and they can feel they have established some rhythm going into New York later in August. Failure to do anything at WTA Toronto increases pressure in Cincinnati, making it harder to build confidence on hard courts going into this stretch of the tennis season, when many ranking points are at stake. The quality of the matchups now gets even better, so let’s see which players rise to the challenge as the tournament heads toward the weekend in Canada. LWOS has our best bets for three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.

WTA Toronto

Kalinskaya – Shnaider: 12:30 EST

H2H: 1-0

Diana Shnaider gained a lot of attention from global tennis fans when she made the Roland-Garros semifinals. Now she is under pressure to back up that result and live up to the higher expectations she has created. She would take an important step toward doing that if she can beat Anna Kalinskaya in a WTA Toronto battle of two top-25 players. This looks like an even matchup on paper, with the two players ranked only four spots apart. Their hardcourt records are very close this year, too. Kalinskaya is 12-8, Shnaider 11-8.

Best Bet to Make

This looks like a very even match, even though Shnaider is priced as the clear favorite. Kalinskaya is a tough competitor who has posted solid results this season. Neither player looks ready to become a regular top-10 force, but these are two relatively competent top-25 players who are poised to play a very close match. Going with the over 2.5 set bet is a natural standalone wager to make here.

That being said, betting on over 2.5 sets is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: over 2.5 sets at 2.45 @Unibet

Kostyuk – Keys: 14:00 EST

H2H: 0-2

Marta Kostyuk made very deep runs at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon this year. She is having her best season on tour and is trying to get into the top 10. She’s close. If she can win a few more matches at this WTA Toronto tournament, that would move her closer to that goal. Her opponent does not figure to be easy. Madison Keys on hardcourts can be very hard to play if she is keeping her big groundstrokes inside the court. The obvious challenge for Keys is to maintain consistency, something she hasn’t done especially well this year. She has fallen over 10 spots in the rankings since the 2026 season began.

Best Bet to Make

This WTA Toronto match could easily go Keys’ way. Keys is a Major champion with a lot of talent, and she plays well on hardcourts. However, Kostyuk is playing better tennis this season and has shown an ability to compete especially well. It’s easier to trust Kostyuk right now, so that’s our recommended wager for this match.

That being said, betting on Kostyuk winning is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Kostyuk winning at 1.80 @Unibet

Gibson – Alexandrova: 11:00 EST

H2H: 1-0

Talia Gibson is playing good tennis in this WTA Toronto event. She beat Elisabetta Cocciaretto and then Roland-Garros runner-up Maja Chwalinska. Gibson struggled on grass, going 2-5, while Ekaterina Alexandrova went 5-4 during grass season. However, on hardcourts this year, it’s a different story. Gibson is 24-8 on hardcourts, while Alexandrova is 6-9. Gibson has played a bunch of smaller tournaments, but she still has shown she can play on the surface, while Alexandrova has struggled.

Best Bet to Make

Gibson’s hardcourt record in 2026, matched against Alexandrova’s, is pretty good. Yet, Gibson is being priced as a very clear underdog. She is being undervalued, so getting her at plus 3.5 games at the listed price below is a great WTA Toronto betting bargain. Go for it.

That being said, betting on Gibson +3.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds: Gibson +3.5 games at 1.85 @1xBet
