A “sudden tremor” despatched residents of close by buildings dashing out of their houses solely to see the horror of a pile of rubble rather than the PG lodging bustling with college students in south-west Delhi’s Satya Niketan.
Many scrambled to take away the particles with naked fingers and no matter instruments they may get after the collapse of the five-storey constructing, Hostel Daze, within the congested colony lined with personal scholar hostels, eateries and retailers close to the guts of Delhi College’s South Campus.
A neighborhood Rajen Chhetri, who works with the Delhi Police, mentioned the constructing had round 15 rooms, with two to 3 college students sharing every, and restore or development work was underway within the basement.
