Mercedes has poked enjoyable at its personal group principal Toto Wolff after he was filmed placing his storage timing console in frustration throughout qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix.
Wolff’s response was triggered within the last moments of Q3 at Monza when Alpine’s Pierre Gasly secured a shock pole place, beating Mercedes driver George Russell to the highest spot by simply 0.060 seconds.
The Brackley outfit shared its personal behind-the-scenes view of the second, with the caption: “This goes out to all pc screens, we’re sorry – we simply actually needed that Pole for George Russell. However congratulations to Alpine.”
Wolff was requested from behind the digital camera if the display was OK and what had occurred. “It is OK,” he stated. “I simply cared a lot for George to be on pole. He was the quickest automotive on the market. After which we bought compromised within the final lap, so… yeah, that was annoying.”
He added: “I am comfortable for Alpine. We performed a little bit half in there [as a Mercedes customer team] and them being on pole is one thing totally different, they usually’ve executed a very good job.”
