The Reserve Financial institution of India (RBI) on Friday stated it would conduct a 30-day variable price reverse repo (VRRR) public sale for a notified quantity of Rs 7 lakh crore on September 7, in line with the notification.
The public sale will happen on September 7, between 9.30 am and 10.00 am. The reversal of those funds will happen on October 7.
“On a evaluation of the present and evolving liquidity circumstances, it has been determined to conduct a Variable Charge Reverse Repo (VRRR) public sale on Monday, September 7, 2026,” the RBI stated in a launch.
The surplus liquidity within the banking system is estimated to be in surplus of round Rs 10.32 lakh crore as on September 3.
The central financial institution additionally stated members could have the choice of untimely reversal of the quantity lent, together with partial reversal.
Requests for untimely reversal will be positioned by the E-Kuber portal throughout 0900-1700 hours on working days in Mumbai and should even be intimated by electronic mail to the Monetary Markets Operations Division.
Settlement of untimely reversal will happen at first of the following working day following the date of the request. Members can search untimely reversal at the very least two working days earlier than the unique reversal date.
