A joint search and rescue operation is underway on the Hathnikund Barrage in Yamunanagar district after two troopers of 1 Para Particular Forces (SF) went lacking within the Yamuna river on Tuesday night time, officers stated on Wednesday.
The incident occurred throughout an evening coaching train involving 5 personnel when their military boat skilled a technical snag. Water discharge decreased to help search
To facilitate the search, the Haryana irrigation and water assets division decreased water discharge on the barrage and WJC following a request from the military.
