SD vs ODW Today Match Prediction and Betting Tips, Odds and Live Score

This Thursday, the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 season continues with another outrageous clash between South Delhi Superstarz and Outer Delhi Warriors. The game will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium from 1:30 p.m IST.

Both the teams have some big faces of Delhi cricket and have the same record this season. Whereas as the South Delhi Superstarz started the campaign with a win followed by a loss, Outer Delhi did the exact opposite, they lost their first match but won the second match in the Super Over.

The early battle for position is well on and either side wouldn’t want to give an inch. Going into the game, the South Delhi Superstarz have the psychological advantage of having won the only head-to-head match in 2025.

South Delhi Superstarz Preview

South Delhi Superstarz have made a mixed start to the Delhi Premier T20 League 2026, with one win and one defeat from their opening two matches. Sitting on two points, they will look to regain winning momentum when they face Outer Delhi Warriors.

Their campaign began on 1st August with a convincing four-wicket victory over East Delhi Riders. Chasing 166, they reached 169 for 6 in 18.1 overs. Three days later, on 4 August, they posted 160 in 19.5 overs against West Delhi Lions but fell short as the opposition chased the target with five wickets and 11 balls to spare.

Batting has been led by Anmol Sharma, who tops the charts with 77 runs from two innings at a strike rate of 160.42 and has provided important contributions at the top.

Karan Garg has scored 48 runs, Pranshu Vijayran has 43 runs and captain Ayush Badoni has scored 41 runs. Pranav Pant has also been useful with his contributions of 40 runs. The middle order has shown the ability to rebuild, though consistency in finishing remains an area for improvement.

The bowling attack has been spearheaded by Anshuman Hooda, who claimed an outstanding five-wicket haul in the opening match vs East Delhi Riders. Ankit Dabas, Ayush Badoni and Aman Bharti each have two wickets from two games.

Meanwhile Pranshu Vijayran, Deepanshu Gulia and Divansh Rawat have one apiece. The unit has taken regular wickets but will need tighter control in the middle and death overs.

Outer Delhi Warriors Preview

Outer Delhi Warriors have shown resilience in the early stages of the Delhi Premier League 2026, recording one win and one defeat from their first two matches, sitting on two points.

Their campaign began on 2nd August with a four-wicket defeat to Central Delhi Kings in a rain-reduced 10-over contest. The Warriors posted 130 for 5 but saw the target chased down in 9.5 overs.

They bounced back strongly on 4th August against New Delhi Tigers, tying the match before winning the Super Over to secure their first points of the season.

Batting has been led by the brilliance of Yajas Sharma, who tops the charts with 91 runs from two innings. He has a mind-blowing strike rate of 221.95 and has provided important contributions at the top of the order. He scored 39 off 16 vs Central Delhi and followed it with a half-century (52) off 25 balls vs New Delhi Tigers.

However the biggest talking point from the Outer Delhi Warriors is the ineffective performance from star opener Priyansh Arya. The Punjab Kings opener has scored 5 runs in 2 games and has a seriously shocking strike rate of 71.43. He was the best batter of the tournament in the last two years.

Meanwhile, Monu Shukla and Mohit Panwar have both scored 54 runs each and are the only other batters other than Yajas to have contributed with 50 or more runs, Akshay Saini has scored 35 runs. The side has shown the ability to post competitive totals even in restricted-over games.

The bowling contributions have been shared effectively. Pratham Saluja is the team’s top wicket-taker with 3 scalps from two matches. Shivam Sharma and Siddhant Sharma each have two wickets. Siddhant was especially in great touch against New Delhi Tigers, bagging 2/25.

Harsh Tyagi and Navdeep Saini have claimed one apiece. The bowling unit has managed regular breakthroughs and performed well under pressure in the Super Over.

Outer Delhi Warriors Predicted Playing XI:

Yajas Sharma (WK), Priyansh Arya, Akshay Saini, Monu Shukla, Mohit Panwar, Siddharth Sharma (C), Shivam Sharma, Dhanya Nakra, Harsh Tyagi, Pratham Saluja, Navdeep Saini.

The surface is flat and true with consistent bounce, favouring batters. Short square boundaries and a fast outfield boost scoring. Pacers may get early swing while spinners may find minimal turn. High-scoring contests are common with the first innings average score around 180.

Toss: To Bowl

The Arun Jaitley Stadium is renowned for its batting-friendly nature. Hence captain winning the toss would ideally prefer to bowl first and try to restrict the opposition around 180-200.

Outer Delhi Warriors look the slight favourites. Both teams have one win from two games, but the Warriors showed real fight by winning their last match via Super Over, powered by Yajas Sharma’s explosive 91 runs at a strike rate of 222. South Delhi have mixed form and rely on Anmol Sharma’s brilliance while Priyansh Arya’s form is a huge worry. Despite trailing the H2H, Outer Delhi’s momentum should see them through.
